I was browsing the web and I found this site. For those who knew Perry Lesk at DFAIT, well I have very sad news. Perry passed away last week-end. It was very sad to hear that because he was full of life, funny, kind, helpful and always stood up for himself and colleagues. It was a shock to me as he was looking forward so much to retire and enjoy life. I think he only had a couple of years left before retirement. Very sad...

Oh...... I love those pics of old friends - and foes such as Matthews the lush - Dont even remember when it was taken. still makes me feel that I'm still guzzling beer at the Lord Elgin or the Beacon Arms, or in a tavern in Hull after graveyard shift.... with the gang, many of whom have died since unfortunately........but I'm still very alive & kicking ....

Reading old blurbs on guestbook and has been 1 1/2 years since I thanked people for my retirement party. Moved to Thailand last August, building a house in Hua Hin (300k south of BKK) and should be moving in 2 months. Interior work and tiling of pool/jacuzzi left to do along with tiling and hardwood floors. Pics on my Facebook if anyone interested. Check OFARTS and this site to see who is still slogging away and who joined the "good life". Sitting outside doing this at 7:30 PM and around 34C right now! Enjoy reading the Ottawa Sun online every morning ... especially the weather reports over the last few months!!! Cheers!!!
